About Me
I am a jewelry artist, living and working in Northern CA. I have been making jewelry for about 6 years. I started my jewelry using polymer clay and doing black & white and color transfers on earrings, necklaces and pins. For at least the last 3 years I have been working with sterling silver and gemstones, crystals, pearls and glass and wood beads. I like to make beaded jewelry and more complicated wire wrap jewelry.
Wire wrap is a hand fabricated method of jewelry design and creation. It involves the use of tools to bind and twist wires together. Some of the other techniques include wrapping a wire bundle, crimping or flattening the wrap, scrolling, and shaping. The needed tools are simple hand tools: pliers, wire cutters, hammers, and anything else you may come up with to create your design. It does not involve the use of solder, fire, chemicals, or complicated machinery.
I also have an online store where I sell beads. Tiger Beads is named after my cat Tiger. He is my studio cat and my inspiration. Deciding to sell beads seemed like a natural progression to me. As I look for great deals for myself, I look with an eye of finding great deals for my customers also.
